Ethnocentrism – a habit to think only in terms of ideas, beliefs and values of one’s own group.
Humanitarian knowledge – knowledge about relationships between a human and society.
Multi-paradigmatic science – science with a few paradigms which can be considered as its subjects.
Object of research – a definite part of the surrounding environment that has either natural or social character.
Sociological nominalism – a scientific approach which considers humans and their social actions as the key factors of social life.
Sociological realism – a scientific approach which gives priority to integral social groupings (social groups, communities, society in general) considering human social actions as secondary, derived and dependent on the functioning of social communities with the person as their member.
Sociology – a branch of science learning human behaviour, its aim is to expose relationships of cause and effect arisen in the process of social relations between people, in the process of interactions and intercommunications between individuals and groups; a way of learning people (by N. Smelser).
Subject of research – some part, element, distinction, peculiarity or relations of the object of research singled out by the researcher due to its importance at this very moment or in this very relationship.
Technocentrism – considering one’s own country or one’s own epoch as a centre of sociological comprehension of the world or as a focus which other historic periods are bound to.
Unit of observation – any object observed by a researcher to learn.
